About Stress Management

Stress is caused by having pressure being placed on you, either from work, your family or yourself. A small amount of pressure is advantageous, it is motivational hence it improves performance for the tasks in hand. When there is prolonged or too much pressure it leads to stress, which is unhealthy for your mind, body and spirit.

It is a know fact that in the UK, anxiety and depression are the most common mental health problems, within the majority of most of these cases it has been found that they have been caused by stress.

Stress affects individuals in different ways, some are affected primarily through psychological and emotional symptoms, while others are affected by wide range of physical effects or both psychological and physical. In some cases it leads to Anxiety and this has a certain self-perpetuating quality, because the physical symptoms can be so distressing that they can make people more anxious or stressed.
